Litigation finance provider Nera Capital has appointed James Benson as its new general counsel.

Benson’s previous experience includes a period at Handelsbanken as head of legal, while he has also worked at Gately PLC.

The Oxford-educated Benson said: “Joining Nera Capital is an incredible opportunity, and I look forward to leveraging my experience to drive innovation and deliver impactful solutions for our clients.

Last month, Nera surpassed $100m (£78m) in investor returns within 28 months.
